Greetings!
My name is Melissa Nickole, and I am a multidisciplinary artist, painter, illustrator, graphic designer, and children’s book author. I am inspired by nature and storytelling. I create dreamlike visual worlds that invite curiosity and a sense of whimsy.
My acrylic paintings include landscapes crafted with non-traditional colors, textures, and techniques that merge reality with fantasy, as well as fully abstract, emotionally expressive works that explore feelings and movement. Alongside my painting and book projects, I create custom digital line portraits, transforming personal photographs into simplified, expressive illustrations that celebrate love and meaningful life moments.
Through my work, I believe art can nurture community, spark imagination, and invite playful engagement with the world around us.

Featured Children’s Book
Fruits and Vegetables ABC: Not Your Typical Alphabet Book is a vibrant and interactive book designed to introduce young readers to the alphabet while expanding their knowledge of healthy foods. Each letter of the alphabet is paired with a unique, artisan fruit or vegetable. As children finger-trace each letter, they’ll enhance their letter formation and recognition—a foundational literacy skill.
With charming illustrations and simple letter tracing, this book offers a delightful way to help kids learn the shapes of letters while fostering an early appreciation for nutritious eating. Young children and early learners will love the fun and educational exploration found in Fruits and Vegetables ABC!
